On August 23, Mega-info Media released its 2024 semi-annual report. The report shows that in the first half of this year, Mega-info Media achieved an operating income of CNY320 million, a year-on-year increase of 25.8%, and a net profit of CNY40.92 million attributable to shareholders of the listed company.
Mega-info Media’s core business focuses on the development, operation, and advertising deployment of high-speed rail digital media resources. During the reporting period, the company launched its first high-speed rail 3D brand film. Benefiting from its existing business strengths and the growth of digital outdoor media as a secondary business line, the company’s revenue saw significant growth in the first half of the year.
Wenxi BAI, Vice Chairman of the China Enterprise Capital Union, told Securities Daily that the sustained high activity in the tourism industry and the recovery in railway passenger flow have provided favorable conditions for high-speed rail media operations. As a leading company in the high-speed rail digital media sector, Mega-info Media has an extensive media resource network, which supports its continued growth in this field.
As of June 30, Mega-info Media had signed media resource use agreements with all 18 China Railway local group companies in China, covering 564 railway passenger stations and operating 5,310 digital media screens. The company has built a comprehensive high-speed rail digital media network, covering key routes of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail arteries, spanning economically developed urban clusters and reaching third- and fourth-tier cities and county-level stations. Additionally, the company added media resources at 49 new locations, including arrival gates of Chengdu West Railway Station and Beijing South Railway Station, and optimized media at 34 other locations.
Mega-info Media’s secondary business line has delivered significant results. The company has launched outdoor naked-eye 3D screens in key commercial districts such as Tianhe Road in Guangzhou, Qinxian Street in Taiyuan, Penshuichi in Guiyang, Chunxi Road in Chengdu, Wangfujing in Beijing, and Luohu MixC in Shenzhen. These displays have been well received in the market and have positively contributed to the company’s overall performance.
