Battery Science & Technology Organizes Specialized Training on Power Batteries, Promoting Industry Standardization

Release Time:2024-09

From September 3 to 4, Battery Science & Technology, in collaboration with Automotive Data of China and the China Automotive Battery Recycling Collaboration Alliance (CABRCA), held a series of training activities on “Comprehensive Utilization Skills for Power Batteries.” This initiative aims to foster the development of a talent system in the field of new energy vehicle (NEV) power battery recycling and utilization, enhancing the professional technical skills and compliance awareness of industry personnel.

The training focused on three key areas: “theoretical knowledge, hands-on practice, and job certification,” providing a comprehensive skill enhancement program. It targeted professionals from NEV manufacturers, battery production companies, dismantling plants, power battery recycling service outlets, and companies involved in the comprehensive utilization of waste batteries. Participants included representatives from leading organizations such as the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Panasonic China, and Shunjing Environmental Technology.

On the macro policy and compliance management front, the training began with an introduction to the fundamentals of power batteries, progressively delving into an in-depth analysis of key policies such as the Management Measures for Comprehensive Utilization of New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries (Draft for Comment) and the Industry Specifications for the Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles (2024 Edition), as well as relevant safety production laws and regulations. The training sessions also addressed common industry challenges, outlining the certification scope and process for cascade utilization of power battery products, the construction and specification declaration processes for cascade utilization projects, and the establishment and standardized operation of power battery recycling service outlets.

In the hands-on dismantling section, participants were introduced to Battery Science & Technology’s advanced discharge-free, fully automated recycling and dismantling process. The training provided detailed explanations of current mainstream power battery recycling technologies, key processes, and future development trends. Participants also observed demonstrations of the dismantling stages of BYD blade power batteries and toured Battery Science & Technology’s production lines, laboratories, and environmentally friendly equipment.
