China Association for Public Companies: Luen Mei Quantum Supports CIIE for Seven Consecutive Years

Release Time:2024-12

As autumn deepens, the world’s attention once again turns to Shanghai, the “Oriental Pearl”, as the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) commences.

The CIIE has become a vital window showcasing China’s new development paradigm, a platform promoting high-level opening-up, and a globally shared public good. Since its inception, the Expo has been a barometer of China’s commitment to deepening reform and advancing high-level opening-up.

As key contributors to economic growth, listed companies have long supported the success of the CIIE through tangible actions. By serving as bridges and active participants across exhibition, procurement, and service guarantee roles, they play a crucial part in advancing the formation of a new pattern for higher levels of international opening-up.

Recently, the China Association for Public Companies highlighted Luen Mei Quantum (SH600167), documenting its dedication to providing energy services for the CIIE for seven consecutive years. The company’s contributions have underscored the importance of listed companies in bolstering this landmark event, often referred to as “China’s showcase of innovation and development”.

The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) energy station adopts an advanced tiered energy utilization system that maximizes efficiency. Its comprehensive energy consumption and environmental performance are among the best in the industry, making it a model environmental technology project supporting the CIIE and the convention center.

The energy supply utilizes cutting-edge natural gas-based distributed Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power (CCHP) technology. Specifically, this system uses natural gas as the primary fuel, with the heat released from combustion driving internal combustion engines to generate electricity. The high-temperature exhaust gases and residual heat produced during power generation are used as thermal sources to power waste heat recovery equipment for cooling and heating. This process supplies the center with air conditioning, cooling, and heating. On-site electricity generation powers station operations, while surplus electricity is fed back into the grid, providing supplementary energy to the grid. The CCHP system efficiently meets the diverse energy demands of exhibitions, conferences, business activities, hotels, and office spaces, ensuring a seamless energy supply across various operational needs.

At the core of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Luen Mei Quantum provides high-quality, uninterrupted clean energy. In doing so, it not only supports the construction of a high-level opening-up platform but also vividly demonstrates China’s commitment and resolution to achieving its “dual-carbon” goals to the world.
